Ananda Mukherjee has completed a PhD in Economics from Visva Bharati University in India. He has written for newspapers and magazines for quite some time while working on his first novel and is particularly interested in serious literary fiction. 'Wind of Change' is his first novel which he wrote for over four years. His current affairs article has been previously published in “The Hindu” newspaper.

On the work front, he is keen to leave an impact on readers through his writings and writes on topics closely related to socio- economic contexts. He tries to influence through his work and leave behind inspiration and dreams for the youth through the fiction he writes. More than anything, changing a reader’s life for the better is his main objective of writing and he typically tries to end with a positive note. He also values pure literary flavor in  his work rather than commercial fiction and works hard on the quality of writing and choice of words. He is based in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India.
